Employment Trends in a Post-COVID World

Are corporate offices closing in big cities? Relocating? Are people really leaving certain cities in droves? We're getting lots of questions lately--as are our data providers--about the effect that the pandemic has had on employers and where they locate. We're taking a closer look at the topic on the blog this month, and addressing some of the trends that are emerging as a result of COVID-19 requiring people to stay apart and work efficiently.

Use Rings to Study Points of Interest, Competitors, and More

Site and store mile rings (also known as radii) are a trade area type that is available in SiteSeer--one of many! But what if you want to create rings around competitors, points of interest, or other locations? Starting in November, you can!

Look for the new “rings” button in the Layers menu to toggle rings on and off for your map layer. Use the display (star) properties button to change the size and color of your rings. We’ve also made it easier to change the colors of your trade areas, by clicking the paint brush icon next to trade areas in the layers menu to launch the new trade area colors menu.

Have You Checked Out SiteSeer's New Dashboards?

SiteSeer 3.0 brought exciting updates to the platform, including dashboards. Users of UberMedia visitor data were the first to have access to these dashboards, visualizing information like visitor trends, trip patterns, demographics and lifestyles. Now, the first STI: PopStats and LandScape dashboards will be rolled out to subscribers of this data. Users will be able to visualize population trends for a trade area, see the lifestyle segmentation pattern of an area, compare demographics and more. See the help video “Dashboards” and contact us with questions.
